She’s doing as much as an anthropologist to record the lived (culinary, agricultural) lives of rural people in Yunnan.
Located on the hillside, our village is over 20 km from town and home to more than 130 families. During the years, they offered much help to my videos as well as many surprises and great warmth. Today I recorded the best moments of 2020 for them. Hope all of us will have a great new year in 2021.

I saw an Alaskan Malamute on the street in 2016 and I liked it very much. The second year I went back to Yunnan, I got my own dog. He was somehow timid at the time, so I named him Dawang (meaning the big boss). Dawang accompanied me everyday in the village and has brought me enormous joy and happiness. I do hope that he can always stay by my side, as happy and healthy as can be.

Dad's Favorite Dish: Yunnan Preserved Ribs - A Delicacy Discovered Due to Storing Foods

After butchering the annual pig, we will store different parts of the pig in different ways. Apart from our local specialty Crunchy Bones, we will also make some preserved ribs.
